Well, almost a new user, since I was never able to use the program.
I’ve installed about a dozen times now, and various versions of the program, from new to old.
During install, I did notice this error after the later installs… service name invalid.
Unfortunately the verbose log during install screen disappears after the install concludes.
Very frustrating. Maybe I will try to re-install on the next new version.
With the log.conf file, does it end in .txt? If so that can cause the logs to not be generated. It needs to end in .conf. Windows can hide extensions and make it a bit confusing, sorry.

The log file I am referring to is the one you must create yourself to activate logging as described above.
Log.conf should be a notepad file called exactly “log.conf” with these two lines only:
log_path=c:\programdata\glasswire\service\log
log_level_file=-1
