I am not a tech person but an old lady trying to stay relevant. How can I use all of this information to improve my internet connection on Dish network satellite internet? .The transition from one satellite to another is rough sometimes and connections get dropped on top of many issues I have yet to know anything about. If I am barking up the wrong program, can anyone suggest one to help solve the problem? Thank you!
Some of my family members use Satellite Internet so I have a pretty good understanding of how it works.
One thing you can do is to put GlassWire on your PC or Android devices, then use our “Block all” mode to block all network activity when you aren’t using your PC/Android devices. This should give you some extra bandwidth during the day.
Then at night when you have unlimited bandwidth (many satellite Internet access providers work this way) you can unblock your PC and other Android devices and let them do updates, etc…
The reason people use GlassWire as a tool to keep data usage low is because in most cases PCs are responsible for data overages and GlassWire can show you in detail what apps/hosts are responsible for using your data. You can then block those apps with our firewall, or just uninstall them.
