So this mic activation sensor built into GlassWire is something else

If you haven’t bought GlassWire do so. The free version doesn’t tell you when stuff is happening in real time like a program wants to talk to the outside world and blocks it until you allow if that’s what you choose.

I login the site newegg. And guess what? My webcam mic is suddenly activated turned on! I then closed the browser and the mic was deactivated.
Be careful out there men.

For your browser, make sure its settings require that your webcam/mic be “allowed” to be activated, or just block them completely from your browser if you don’t need that.

The mic/webcam detection is removed for 2.0 because Microsoft keeps changing its mic/webcam implementation and it’s technically impossible to make this work reliably for all OS versions,. Sorry.

I hid this thread because I am trying to keep 2.0 beta unmentioned in the forum mostly until 2.0 is officially released on the 15th.
