(( VPN)) and ((Glasswire))

Hey there,
I’m new here
I found an issue and I like to report it.
When I start my VPN and check the use the same proxy server for all protocols in LAN settings every blocked application via glass wire can reach the internet and get updates.

This issue doesn’t appear if that application wants to get some automatic update.
Only happen when I press the update button so the firewall dont even try to block the update!
Also if I uncheck the use the same proxy server for all protocols the problem will disappear.
VPN: PsiphoN
Example: Pot player
Any idea?
Thnx in advanced.

How do we find these third party apps? Do they disable your Windows Firewall if you go to your Windows Firewall control panel?

Potplayer is famous! and Psiphon 3:

Do these apps disable the Windows Firewall? When using them if you go to the Windows Firewall control panel is it disabled?

Daum PotPlayer is a well-known free media player e.g. it is first choice in Gizmo’s Freeware Best Free Windows Media Player.

The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. (http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Daum-PotPlayer-77268-program.aspx)

sorry I was busy
No, they don’t the win firewall is enabled as I said it’s about VPN.
I guess with those settings all of the network connections go through vpn and glass wire can’t monitor them…
Also, there is no separate rule for Pot player into the firewall the only rule for pot created by glass wire and its block.

The whole point of the VPN is that it can’t be monitored by others, however GlassWire can see VPN traffic on your PC and keep track of it.
