Android GW - Stopped monitoring mobile data

Nokia X-100

Android 11

Glasswire 3.0.395r

Monitoring only; firewall has always been set off

After four years, GW for Android stopped monitoring mobile data usage since the 3.0.395r update on Oct. 27.

WiFi OK.

The usual cache clear, uninstall/reinstall - no fix.

No permissions denied.

Please advise.

Thanks - GW for Windows licensed user since The Beginning.

Glasswire 3.0.395rI have full monitoring, live monitoring in upper right corner and firewall for mobile and wifi.

I searched settings for VPN and turned off my Trend Micro VPN, Uninstalled GW, Restarted Android, Reinstalled GW and enabled the two settings required.

It began working again about three weeks ago. I have kept an eye on system and app updates having disabled automatic updates since day one on my devices.

I did notice a spate of Google (com.google.android.apps.googlequicksearchbox, 397MB!) updates at the time which are generally quite fewer than others.

My “phone” is going on fives years and becoming subject to more and more annoyances in functionality with unwelcome challenges to my expertise. Maybe time for a new one.

It seems like the 3.0.395r update has caused issues for many users regarding mobile data monitoring. Clearing the cache and reinstalling often works for minor glitches, but persistent problems may require checking VPN or background data restrictions set by Android 11. Some forums mention that GlassWire monitoring works fine on WiFi, but mobile data tracking sometimes needs extra permissions.
