I had to use an app called QubeWire to upload my films to a film festival.
Films are under 25 GB. However since it was taking too long, I checked Glasswire for uploaded data and it turns out over 140GB of data has gone out of my system. All through Qubewire.
It uses UDP, (whatever that means) but how come so much more data had to leave my system!!!
UDP = Universal Display Port
If I’m not mistaken, it’s for streaming video content over the internet It uses Port 53. You will have to get help at QubeWire to find out what’s going on. Somebody on Glasswire might know about QubeWire. Try help@Glasswire.com Hope that helps.
In this context UDP will be User Datagram Protocol. It is a core network protocol like TCP.
The 25 GB film will be broken up and encapsulated into packets. This will make the transfer size larger than the original file. 140 would be a lot for a single film though.
