BSOD in version 3.3.664

I have windows 11. I installed Glasswire 3.3.664. This version causes sometimes BSOD. How solve it?

I would wonder, how do you know your bsod is related to glasswire, does the event log or the bsod indicate it’s glasswire or one of its related files that caused it? Can you tell us what the bsod says is the file or driver name?

If you are having major issues like that, first step I would try is reinstalling it, but choosing the clean install option. I had to do that because my glasswire app kept crashing. Then reset up the app and see if it persists. I haven’t had a bsod from the app once and I had been using it for a few years now.

I am having the same issue on my daughters PC. Minidump seems to indicate that the gwdrv.sys driver is at fault. Same version of Glasswire (3.3.664). Tends to happen when she’s playing games like Fortnite. I have disabled Glasswire for the time being to see if it improves things.

DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133)
The DPC watchdog detected a prolonged run time at an IRQL of DISPATCH_LEVEL
or above.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, A single DPC or ISR exceeded its time allotment. The offending
component can usually be identified with a stack trace.
Arg2: 0000000000000501, The DPC time count (in ticks).
Arg3: 0000000000000500, The DPC time allotment (in ticks).
Arg4: fffff80260b1c340, cast to nt!DPC_WATCHDOG_GLOBAL_TRIAGE_BLOCK, which contains
additional information regarding this single DPC timeout

Early days, but since disabling Glasswire the BSOD while playing Fortnite have stopped. I will continue to monitor over the next couple of days.

Still 0 crashes since disabling Glasswire. Will try re-enabling GW, see if the crashes return. If so will uninstall and do a fresh install to see if that resolves.
