Can log files be trimmed

Forgive me if I am just blind. I have searched around a bit and can’t find the solution for this.

Is there a way I can trim the size of the logs in GlassWire? My C:\ProgramData\glasswire folder is up to 1.5 GB and I suspect this is largely logging data.

It would be nice if in the UI, I could select an option to delete log files “older than xx days”

Another nice options would be to have GlassWire automagically keep the logs trimmed. Perhaps "Limit logs to the last xx days to save disk space

I really don’t care about data that is months or years old.

Thanks!

Hi CTaylor

Yes that data file is is quite big. This has been talked about before and someone had 100GB file size because they were using a BitTorrent or some other software that could be causing this.

You can clear your history in Glasswire’s General settings area if you don’t need a large one.

Thanks. I did find the option in “Settings” for “Clear history”. D’Oh - I don’t know why I missed that!

However, I tried it and cleared history with “Keep last week” and my C:\ProgramData\glasswire folder is still 1.5 GB. I thought it might clear out over time, but after a couple of hours, it is still 1.5 GB. I tried clearing all and it seems to affect Alerts as all of them disappeared.

Is there another place to clear log files?

Hi is the file still at 1.5GB? If so maybe a reboot might help?
There might be “Is there another place to clear log files” But that might be risky to the operation of GW
At worse you could uninstall and then select clean install from the setup options.
Note, you would be starting over again though. That’s what i would probably do…
You could always send email to GW and ask about this if you like
