The identified item is my router changing it’s MAC back and forth between the correct MAC address and my Mac that I am operating on currently. The IP is always correct for the router.
Please tell me what could cause this annoying problem?
Try help@glasswire.com I think it has something to do with your ISP Provider. Not sure.
I have had similar issues and have not been successful in finding a cause/solution. In my situation it is now more sporadic and only occurs approximately 1x/month [thankfully]. I agree with the comment it likely has something to do with the ISP provider although I was working with a Shaw/Rodgers tech at the time and he said they weren’t making any changes that would cause this.
This has been a major pain in the butt as each time it occurs my internet connectivity is seriously impacted. However, I believe I have found the source of my problem, although I don’t understand the technicalities.
I use FING [network monitoring tool] and when a new device enters my network space the program [FING] blocks the unknown device. By accident I discovered each time I encountered the “ARP Table content changed” message a device was being blocked by FING. Once I unblock the ‘new’ device my internet issues are resolved.
I hope my experience will be of assistance to others. My ISP was not helpful. Cheers
