Scanner not connecting
My ET4750 is found by the outgoing request to my network.
The device shows up. But the Epson software reports no comm. So I thought maybe GW is blocking the scanner from going to the pc. What would be something I could check in GW to see the return traffic? I am stuck between network failure and Epson software. Epson support blames my win11 setup yet their sw sometimes reports ‘no available space in temp’ on reinstall. Pfffft, I have 1gb with only 100k used in that folder setup. If any one has any insight I am all ears.
Thank you all in advance.
If this is what I’m thinking it is - I used to have an Epson printer, but there’s a common issue with printers and networks…
Note: I am unfamiliar with your exact setup. I’ll offer a solution that has worked for fixing these kinds of issues in the past. This is your choice and neither this forum or I will be at fault if this causes further problems. Again, this is your choice.
Try this:
- Open Settings
- Bluetooth & Devices
- Printers & Scanners
- Click on your Epson printer
- Click Remove at the top right
- Reboot as necessary if prompted. If not, it may be worth rebooting. Get that fresh start.
- Go back to Bluetooth & Devices
- Click Add Device
- Find your Epson printer and readd it.
- Try and print a test page.
Hope this helps. If you have any issues let me know.
The could be a network discovery utility which is being blocked by GlassWire. In which case it is a case of looking through the blocked apps on the GlassWire Protect tab for a likely candidate. As a quick test you could disable the Firewall completely to see if it then works. This would confirm if GlassWire is indeed the cause.
