Getting message msvcp40.dll missing with latest GW Elite

There is another thread on QT5code.dll and msvcp40.dll but I only see the msvcp40.dll missing message.

The latest C++ runtimes are installed and the module is in \windows\system32

Using a 64 bit Win7Ent OS on a thinkpad. All updates are applied. No cleaner apps have run or are installed.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Have tried remove and install of all C+ runtimes, .NET runtimes, several configurations but installation always paused. Have also manually tried moving the module but something else is stopping the setup. Not sure what else to try.

None of the suggestions in thread link below solves the issue.

@stealthmode Do you use any cleaning software to clean your hard drive? Sometimes these types of apps can delete our files. If that’s what happened you’ll have to do a clean install of GlassWire. The only other thing that could cause this is some kind of file corruption issue. I haven’t seen this reported before and it doesn’t seem to be a common problem. If you reboot does it help?

Strange. Does running Windows update help at all? Sometimes running Windows Update and rebooting will solve this issue. I have seen that from helping other customers with the issue, and I’m not sure why it helps but it usually does.
