GlassWire 3.5.821 - (April 14, 2025)

So a new version quietly dropped. I was beginning to fear the worst as things have been very quiet since the last update 3 months ago. Unfortunately, not a lot to get excited about as this update seems to focus mostly on search and display columns. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

  • Added new search feature to the following sections:
    • Traffic Monitor.
    • Log Analysis.
    • Network Scanner.
  • Improved existing search feature on GlassWire Protect section: it is now possible to search for other attributes in addition to the application name.
  • Added new columns on GlassWire protect section.
  • Fixed minimum window size to contain the remote connection state.
  • Fixed Chinese translations.
  • Fixed Network Scanner columns translations.
  • Fixed various bugs.

Disappointing that longstanding issues with security functionality have not been addressed.

  • App changes completely undetected by GlassWire
  • Core Windows components being silently blocked following updates
  • Failure to handle app path changes

I did notice that the Network Scanner now appears to list everything it has ever seen. I now have entries going back to 2021. That wasn’t mentioned in the change log.

Yeah, on the last version we had a swtich on the Network Scanner for All / Active, I can’t find how to do that now, please bring it back

Ah, that would explain it. My wild guess is that it caused a problem with the new search function and it was easier to remove rather than fix.

I found that if you press on the green dot at the the top of the first column you can sort by active first which helps

Thanks, I hadn’t spotted that. BTW the colour of the dot depends on your theme.

I did however discover that you can sort by date last seen, which gives a similar result.

New bugs introduced as well. I notice on a number of machines where the update is applied that all but a few (say 3-5) of the log entries have disappeared. It might for example tell you there are eight new log entries, but you can only see three of them. You click on the three and the count goes down to five, but you can’t see any of the remaining five or any of the other historical logs.

You can mark them all as read, and the count reduces to zero, but they can’t be seen.
