GlassWire Computer Idle Monitor crashes repeatedly in few minutes

Error report from Japan and I really need help.
I’ve been using GlassWire for 4 months.
my pc’s spec:
CPU : Intel Core i5 4670K
M/B : ASUS Z87 Pro V-EDITION
RAM : Corsair 4GBx4 16GB
Graphic : GTX 980 4GB GIGABYTE G1 GAMING
Sound : ASUS Strix RAID DLX(This is suspicious)

yesterday I picked up a new sound card and installed it.
then the error starts to occurring, error massage says :

(Google translated. sorry for inaccurate)

And many GWIdlMon.exe.**.dmp files( are numbers. Error reporting files??) are spawning on Desktop.

nhAsusStrixOSD.dll is clearly associated with my new Strix sound card so I’ve tried my drivers’ updating/re-installing,
GlassWire re-installing, clean up sound card’s driver I used before, etc…

but the error still appears every some minutes, sometimes every few seconds!

I want to solve this problem and enjoy my new sound card with GlassWire.
Whats happening to my PC? What should I do?

@coffee-daisuki

Does Asus have a more updated driver? GlassWire shouldn’t interact with any sound drivers.

thank you for your replying.
driver is latest and yes thats right…
I cant understand why Asus causes Glasswire crash.

I’d like to try more things and If I get any result, I’ll write here.

Thank you.

ASUS is very popular hardware, and some of us even use it ourselves, so we’ll see if there is something we can do on our end to fix it.

@coffee-daisuki

We fixed this. Email our contact page with “ASUS” in the subject to test our unreleased version please.

I’m having the same problem as the topic author. Was hoping it was fixed. Updated my asus drivers to latest and send email to glasswire help with “ASUS” tag hoping to get that unreleased version which they claim to have the fix for it but they just told me to download latest glasswire and make clean install. Got the whole day without crashes and then it started again… not fixed after all… Makes me wonder what kind of fishy things is glasswire doing in my PC that it crashes over my soundcard drivers.

@pepes

Just to be clear, GlassWire is doing nothing fishy and it’s not interacting with sound cards at all. Unfortunately Firefox had this same exact problem and they had to implement the fix we did to solve the problem.

Did your computer get a DMP file on the desktop after this crashed happened? If so could you email it to our helpdesk using a cloud file upload system?

Seems to be fixed, 2days without any crashes and dumps(after 1.2.98 clean install), thanks.

Pepes was testing an unreleased version we sent him. We will include these fixes in our next public update.
