I couldnt get the firewall to turn on and the forum told me to uninstall glasswire and reinstall after resetting windows firewall. i did all that but glasswire keeps failing to install. Even after deleting any remnant data, checking task manager, and runing the installer as administrator.
I’ve had the same problem for three weeks. First with Windows 10, now with Windows 11. Same procedure, firewall settings to standard, clean installation, nothing helps. Version 3.7.880
Have you tried resetting your network settings. I had the same problem with another app. When I installed it the app altered my network settings and it prevented itself from working. If that doesn’t work try getting a fresh download. Some data may be corrupted.
Does the failed install give you any error message?
Check Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application which might give you something with more detail.
Also worth noting that the Firewall management function now requires a Premium licence (no longer available for free). It looks like the German screenshot is saying this.
