Glasswire service has stopped running

Glassswire has been working great for a while now, but just for the last few days, whenever I restart (because of Microsoft updates), the Glasswire service apparently tries to start but fails.

I’m using Windows 8.1 64 bit. All Windows updates installed. Glasswire 1.1.15b.

Once the restart is complete, I see that the Glasswire icon is blank, and when I open the Glasswire interface, it says 'The Glasswire service has stopped running". Clicking that message, then clicking the ‘Connect’ button gets it running again.

I’m not seeing any errors or other messages when the service stops, but the System event log shows a couple of entries like this:
