Please go to the task manager and stop GWInstST.exe. Did it solve it?

I installed a version from Cnet (167) then tried to update with version from GlassWire (260) but the installer would quit at the same error message here.

What worked was installing these first (probably just the x86 is needed)
vc_redist.x86.exe , vc_redist.x64.exe
Google “Microsoft vc_redist.x86.exe” takes you straight to the link.

Then the GlassWire installer runs all the way to completion and GlassWire starts running.

Strange, I have never seen any of these apps related to GlassWire install issues so this is a new one for us. I’m glad you were able to solve the problem and I apologize for the inconvenience.
