Is the an application's publisher switching normal?

This looks malicious to me but I genuinely have no idea. It seems weird to have an application’s publisher switching constantly. Reinstalling the app did nothing to change this.

Can anyone confirm if this behavior is normal?

It seems normal to me. It could be apps updating that haven’t been updated in a while. That could cause the switching back and forth. It’ll do that if you are visiting site’s you haven’t visited in a while, especially gaming sites. Hope that helps. :grinning: PS: It will also do that if it is trying to sync up with the site. :grinning:

Not sure what others are thinking here but for me there is red flags in your post or at the very least you need to have a closer look at your system.

What i’d be concerned about.

  1. 5:47 PM Application change… Mal’bytes to MWP… Did you do this?
  2. 5:47 Antimalware service exe… Version change from V5 to V4.18.xxx this isnt strange no?
  3. 5:53 Glasswire application change from 4.18.xx to 1.2.xx Strange no?

Unless your system is used to throwing around garbage info or you can actually account for this changes id say you may need to looking through your system a little closer.

I get the notifications as soon as I launch the programs, I don’t know if that counts as me being responsible. For example using the picture above, when I launched Brave, I got the notification that the publisher changed from Discord to Brave.
