McAfee Detected Malware

Hi,

It seems malware was detected on glasswire by Mcafee Malware Cleaner

on Glasswire Plugin windows.dll.

I’ve installed it from your official download website and I have version 3.3.501

Please help clarify what is the windows.dll intended for since McAfee deleted it and Glasswire seems to still work.

Hi @elitesonny,

This is a false positive, windows.dll is our plugin module that allows the app to fetch details of Microsoft store applications. If McAfee removes it, GlassWire will keep on working, but icons and package details won’t appear in GlassWire for apps installed via microsoft store.
