Your latest version always show inactive devices. In the previous version you could turn this on and off via a button. Why has this been removed? I don’t want to see inactive connections.
The GlassWire folks seem to have stopped engaging in the forum. Which is slightly concerning.
This recent change in operation is rather annoying. You can click the dot in the left most column which causes the active devices to be grouped together. Alternatively, you can click the Last Seen column to sort by date. Sadly, it is not currently possible to completely hide the inactive devices.
Thank you ittroll. I have 25 active devices on my network (IOT). Having the offline devices cluttering the list makes this view useless to me. I need to easily see if one of my devices is no longer online.
TBH the lack of support for a paying customer is very concerning. I have basic and their new pricing model has me looking around for an alternative. The lack of support here make the decision to leave GW an easy one.
Hi SurfRat, I am assuming you are using the free version when I say you can hardly complain about support if you are using free basic version. It clearly says on their pricing page the free version is community support not dedicated support.
Saying the lack of support is an easy switch if you are not paying for a product to start with is pretty nonsensical.
That’s not to say that the issue you have raised isn’t valid, but equally if your not willing to support the product by paying for it you can hardly complain if the developers don’t prioritise addressing your issues in a long list, and as a paying customer there is a long list of things I would like to see improved.
My feedback to the developers on your issue is, what are the quality control and change processes you are following and where is the request from the customer base requesting this change to the UI. It seems there is a distinct lack of quality control and proper backlog prioritisation and management, stop breaking things that were functioning perfectly well.
Whilst it is slightly annoying that the hide option has been removed, if you sort by status so that active devices are listed first, it is not that bad.
There are certainly more annoying and long standing issues in the software we have to live me.
@Lennon I don’t have the free version. I stated above "TBH the lack of support for a paying customer is very concerning. I have basic and their new pricing model has me looking around for an alternative. "
I agree with your comments though if I was on the free version.
My error, Basic version used to be the free version. I haven’t changed to the new pricing structure still using legacy elite. Failure to address paying customer issues though is a driver to consider alternatives, and I wish they would just stabilise the product and leave the working features alone.
Another annoying bug in latest release is logs not showing up even though the log count says new entries are awaiting review. How they manage to break functionality in an area of code they shouldn’t have touched according to the release notes is beyond me. It means the release notes are disconnected to what is actually changing in the code base.
