Stop making it hard to cancel subscription

I’m cancelling my subscription mainly because it is so unclear and tricky to do so.

I don’t understand why companies that do this, it does nothing more than aggravate customers making them even more likely to leave.

I love the product, but you’ve lost me as a customer.

Hi @Elliptic6749

Users are able to cancel their subscriptions directly from the Management Console. Alternatively, just send us an email and we can do it for you. Our email address is help@glasswire.com

Thanks,
Katie

You can find the renewal choice here:

It took me a little while to find this, but it is in the Management Console

It would be nice if my Management Console had this link, but it doesn’t.

I had to see an email to the Help address, you know, like it’s 2010.

As soon as GlassWire saw someone had posted how to disable renewals they removed the option from Plan in the Management Console ! I’ve been trying to cancel for over an hour now. I give up. I’m just going to change my billing information to a bogus credit card number. I hate companies like this.

I don’t know which country you live in.

In France, and probably in other countries too, there is such a thing as a virtual card. When you make an online purchase or take out a subscription, you can ask your bank for a one-off card with a specific expiry date and a limit on the amount that can be spent.

This prevents automatic subscription renewals.

I always use this option.

Hello,

you could be right but anyway it should be possible for a software user to cancel the subscription from his / her personal account like other software developers allow in-house or through external services like FastSpring, for example, without unnecessary complications. If that feature was effectively removed like the user Dave_Goetsch wrote above frankly it doesn’t make sense, in my opinion.

Hello,

In principle, I agree with you (this is possible on the Bitdefender website, for example).

However, I prefer not to rely on the publisher’s goodwill or integrity and to deal with this sort of issue myself.

We’re not intentionally hiding the cancel option. The cancel button is currently located in the management console under the Billing page. You’ll need to log into your account to access it. We do hear the feedback and are moving it to the Plan page to make it easier to find. If you’re having trouble locating it, please let me know or reach out to support@glasswire.com and we’ll point you in the right direction.
