What to do after 5 Evil Twin alerts and ARP spoofing detection

Hi All,

I’ve been having serious problems with hacking and identity theft. Concrete example: someone stole a password out of a Password Manager only I know, breaks into the site for the second time and tries to sell expensive stuff. Through Paypal with friends & family option of course. Somebody also copied my linkedin profile which is pure identity theft and tries to hack a new mailaddress I just created and only use for 2FA.

Norton 360 doesn’t find anything but Glasswire shows 5 Wifi evil twin alerts and 1 Arp spoofing detection. I checked the MAC address of the Wifi pod and the one my computer shows and the’re completely different. I disconnected all wifi but it’s night in Europe so can’t reach internet provider.

I also have Wireshark logs but I can’t work with it yet. Any advice? I already informed the police but they just took notice.

You need to give a lot more info than this guy…

What platform are you working with, Are you using a router supplied by ISP or is it 3rd party… The list is big… This problem could be coming from anywhere within your network. So information is critical in working this out.

You’ll need to narrow down the source using process of elimination from your router through all the devices connected and this process also includes family, friends & work associates. You’d be surprised how many folks fall victim to identity fraud initiated by someone they know…
