Why does GlassWire install a Code Signing certificate on install?

I noticed that GlassWire installs a Code Signing certificate to the Trusted Publisher store.

I saw a certutil.exe command flash by during install. What purpose does this serve and why is it necessary?

(FWIW, it would be nice to write out the installer log details to see what the installer does)

The certificate contains a public key which is verified to install our driver. It helps us avoid showing an ugly Windows security dialog warning for an un-certified driver.

Thanks Ken!

Always scary to see a certificate being installed without knowing the purpose.
