For GlassWire, a custom port is an Internet port which is different to the GlassWire default.
Custom ports affect remote connections settings
When creating a remote connection GlassWire needs to know the IP address and port number for the connection. This is called the socket (just like the socket for a physical plug). If you have had to change the default port number then you will need to specify the socket (IP address: port number) that GlassWire is to connect to.
Example of a socket with a custom port
IP address
e.g. 192.168.1.12
Port number
e.g. 7012
Socket = IP address & “:” & port number
e.g. 192.168.1.12:7012
