Remote Access page (:free:)

This page is accessed from the GlassWire menu | Settings window.

Unlock button

Select the Unlock button to make changes.

The Unlock button will change to Lock and the other dialog elements will no longer be greyed out.

Allow Remote Access by password (:free:)

  1. Select the Unlock button if it is not unlocked.
  • Check the Allow Remote Access by password checkbox.
  • Select the Change Password button to display the Enter password dialog window.
  • Input the password in the Password text box.
  • Check that the Password strength indicator does not say “Very weak” or “Weak”. If it does then go back a step and enter a better password.
  • Re-enter the password in the Retype Password text box.
  • Select the OK button to save the new password or select the Cancel button to abandon the change.

Allow access only from IP list (:free:)

To add client IP addresses for this server:

  1. Select the Unlock button if it is not unlocked.
  • Check the Allow Access only from IP box to add IP addresses.
  • Input the IP Address where the IP address list box says Type IP Address Here. The standard IP address format should be used (###.###.###.###).
  • Select the Add button for each IP address entered.

Remote access encrypted indicator

The shield at the bottom left of the dialog window if it is no longer greyed out indicates that an SSL connection is enabled.


OK button (:free:)

The OK button will accept your changes to all settings in all tabs of the Settings window.

It also closes the Settings window.

Cancel button (:free:)

The Cancel button will abandon all your changes in all the tabs in the Settings window.

It also closes the Settings window.
